As professional handlers, trainers, and breeders, they boast over 45 years of collective experience in various K9 disciplines, from behavior training to service work. Their journey together blossomed amid personal challenges, leading to the creation of Hounds With Halos. This innovative program pairs families with shelter dogs, ensuring a perfect match that benefits both the canine and the family. Together, Lee and Sonya are dedicated to overcoming obstacles, transforming lives through the incredible bond between humans and their furry companions.

Empowering Lives Through K9 Connections and Lifelong Bonds

We are professional K9 handlers, trainers, and breeders from different walks of life. We love bringing our passion into K9 projects of all sorts. We enjoy helping pet owners overcome obstacles no matter how big or small.

 It was through the K9's that we found ourselves and one another. With over 45 years of K9 experience and education in behavior, obedience, scent detection, personal protection, hunting dogs, and service work, we independently worked across North America, demonstrating multiple K9 disciplines, and enjoying the interactions between K9's and clients.

In addition to helping others, we have both experienced our own life struggles. It is though the experiences of needing our own service dogs that we have founded a program called Hounds With Halos. Our goal is to create a win-win for shelter dogs and families. We work with our local shelters to find the one, the perfect match, for our clients who come to us requesting a service dog or emotional support dog. Our knowledge and K9 rehabilitation experience equips us with the tools necessary to find the connection between human and dog that will build and strengthen that lasting life bond.
